New Away Resort in Kanchanaburi, Thailand for BHMAsia

Bangkok, 18 December 2017– Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa has appointed Bespoke Hospitality Management Asia (BHMAsia) to manage its well-known luxury resort under the popular Away Resorts brand, with operations set to commence in Q1 2018. Accordingly, BHMAsia this week announced the signing of the agreement with Dheva Mantra Company Limited to carry out the rebranding and management of the Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa.

The Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa is located on a secluded stretch of the famous River Kwai and offers breathtaking panoramic scenery. The resort boasts 104 spacious colonial inspired guest rooms, 3 restaurants and a bar, including one floating Thai Restaurant on the river, a swimming pool, gym and spa, and extensive meeting facilities making the property an excellent choice for leisure travelers and an outstanding venue for bespoke meetings and events.

BHMAsia Executive Vice President Alexander Wallace explains why the decision fits perfectly with the objectives of his organization. “Our Away brand has proved popular and successful in our resort properties already established in Thailand, and the Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa fits naturally into that portfolio,” he stated. “Kanchanaburi is a fast-growing destination with significant potential and the Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa will give BHM Asia the chance to serve this increasing number of visitors. While our overseas portfolio continues to expand, we still see Thailand as our primary focus.

The addition of the Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort & Spa represents the fourth Thai property under the Away brand, following Away Koh Kood Resort, Away Chiang Mai Phucome Villa, and Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort which opened this month as Thailand’s first and only four-star vegetarian resort.

This latest signing is a clear indication of the brand’s expanding appeal, and the BHMAsia Business Development team is now busy handling the growing interest. A significant number of enquiries have been received and there are several more projects in the Away pipeline to be announced in the near future, both within Thailand and Internationally.

Frederic is already a familiar face at BHMAsia, having served as the company’s Vice-President of Development since 2014. He brings twelve years’ experience in the hospitality industry with expertise in both hotel operations and in the field of business development. Since commencing his hospitality career as the youngest General Manager for the Accor Hotel Group at just 24 years of age, Frederic has gone on to develop strong operational, financial, and analytical skills. Frederic has held a succession of increasingly responsible roles during this period, setting up and supervising the head office operations, and facilitating the recent company acquisition by Flight Centre Travel Group.

[layerslider id=”14″]

Bangkok, 27 June 2017 – BHMAsia, Asia’s fastest growth hotel group, is proud to announce huge wins at the annual PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards, with the new X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence finishing first in three separate categories, and highly commended in a further four.

BHMAsia’s latest development, X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence won Best Condo Development (Danang), Best Housing Development (Danang), and Best Hotel Architectural Design, while gaining recognition for its outstanding design characteristics in Best Housing Architectural Design, Best Residential Interior Design, Best Hotel Interior Design, and Best Hotel Landscape Architectural Design.

Design is one major attribute BHMAsia can bring to any new development, and few epitomize the concept better than X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence, which combines modern design and world class amenities. The residence occupies a 7-hectare site with 650 meters of river frontage and an organic garden serving as a key landscape feature. The bow shape of the land and its riverside setting increase the positive feng shui energy of the site, while the natural environment will be further enhanced by applying environmentally sustainable practices to become one of Vietnam’s first ” Lotus Certified ” residences.

The residence offers 70 privately-owned Villas ranging from 2-4 bedrooms (144-323 sqm), and 31 Duplex Lofts with one bedroom (85 sqm) for sale, featuring excellent facilities such as infinity pools, restaurants, gym and spa. Almost every unit offers a river view or direct river access, and all have been thoughtfully designed to ensure privacy. Residents will also have direct access to the nearby BLUSH Beach Club which sits on one of the region’s premier beaches, while golfers will love the proximity of the international courses at the Danang Golf and Montgomerie Links.

The X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence is only 30 minutes’ drive from Danang International Airport and 10 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hoi An. Vietnam’s Central Coast has recently seen extensive planning and infrastructure investment which has aimed to deliver upgrades to the road network, utilities, and Danang’s airport along with new golf courses and a casino close to Hoi An, standing the region in good stead to attract an increasing number of condominium or condotel projects. The coastal stretch from Danang to Hoi An is an outstanding beach destination and cultural center with significant potential for long-term investment in second homes and resorts – and the Vietnam Property Awards have duly confirmed X2 Hoi An Resort & Residence as one of the very best options available.

The property is set to open in Q4 2018, and more information is available at

BHMAsia - X2 Vibe Viet Tri room signing ceremony

BHMAsia Opens Representative Office in Vietnam

[layerslider id=”12″]

Bangkok, 22 February 2017Hot on the heels of the January signing ceremony for the X2 Vibe Viet Tri Hotel, BHMAsia opened a new representative office in Ho Chi Minh City in February, underlining the company’s commitment to Vietnam, and opening up a significant number of pre-opening opportunities for experienced hospitality professionals.

The Vietnam office is headed by Simon Jinks, a veteran hotelier who brings experience in managing properties in Asia, including Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. Simon’s expertise lies in the midscale and upscale hotel segments, with a talent for rebranding and managing the opening of large international brand hotels, such as Accor.

“Relationships are everything in doing business, and that’s why we feel that having a presence here in Vietnam is so important to strengthen the trust of our investors and potential new clients. More importantly we want to make sure that our clients can reach out to us whenever they need,” said Simon.

The office gives BHMAsia a full-time presence as one of very few international brands with representation in Vietnam, and will allow new Director of Technical Services, Lam Tran, to use his experience in architectural design and project management to support investors by working closely on design, development and brand standards, which is a key strength of BHMAsia.

All five properties in Vietnam are in the development phase, with X2 Vibe Hoi An Residence scheduled to open first with 230 keys in Q3 this year, followed by the lakeside X2 Vibe Viet Tri Hotel in Phu Tho province, around one hour from Hanoi, in Q2 of 2018 and a further 112 keys at X2 Halong Bay Hill Resort later on.

BHMAsia is now firmly on course to reach its target of 16 properties and 3,000 rooms in Vietnam by the end of the year. As Vice President of Business Development, Frederic Garnier, explained, “Vietnam is a strong market, there are new destinations and the infrastructure is good. The gaming industry is booming and tourism is on the rise.”

“Our project sizes here in Vietnam are much bigger than Thailand, not only for hotels but residences as well. We have a number of new owners, individual rather than institutional investors, and these are repeat investors. They have their first property with us and then they add their second. This is why it’s important to have an office here for their convenience – we can assist them whenever they need.”
